DIY Toothpaste for Dogs
Here’s What You Need:

2 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients together in a mason jar.
Apply directly to dogs teeth with a tooth brush or let them lick the mixture with their tongue.
*Use fewer drops of essential oil if you have a smaller dog.
- 2 Tablespoons Baking Soda
- 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 2 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- Small Jars or Mason Jars
- Mix all ingredients together in a mason jar.
- Apply directly to dogs teeth with a tooth brush or let them lick the mixture with their tongue.
- *Use fewer drops of essential oil if you have a smaller dog.

Here are some other tips to remember when using essential oils on animals from Young Living:
1. Most animals are more sensitive than humans to essential oils.
If you want to start using essential oils on your animals be sure to dilute them heavily and use in moderation. Every animal is different so be aware how each animal responds to the different oils. Do not get essential oils in your animals eyes. Avoid high-phenol oils such as Oregano and Thyme. Use special caution when using essential oils with cats – especially citrus oils.
2. Your animals size affects the amount of oil you should use.
3. Apply oils to yourself or diffuse to introduce animals to essential oils and help them get comfortable.
4. Once animals are used to essential oils, animals can respond well to topical application.
