Homemade Chicken and Dumplings Recipe
  • 2 Cups Unbleached Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Egg Replacer
  • ¼ Cup Water
  • 4 Cups Swanson Chicken Broth
  • 1½ Cups Chopped Chicken
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • Cooked Carrots and Celery (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Combine Unbleached Flour, Salt, and Egg Replacer.
  2. Add Water to make a stiff dough.
  3. Put flour into a gallon size plastic bag, and roll the dough out in the bag.
  4. Put in freezer on a flat surface.
  5. When you are ready to make your Chicken and Dumplings, remove plastic bag from freezer.
  6. Cut the plastic bag open and cut the dough into dumpling pieces.
  7. Place broth in a heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil (this is where you can add your carrots and celery if you want).
  8. Add dumplings and reduce heat to low.
  9. Cover the dumplings and cook for 20 minutes.
  10. Remove lid and add chicken and cream of chicken soup and stir.
  11. Continue cooking for 5 minutes and add salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Enjoy!
