Homemade Rice Krispie Birds Nest

These treats are so easy because all you have to do is melt a little butter and marshmallows and stir in the toasted rice krispies! Rice Kripspie Bird Nest

Add a ball full of rice krispies to a mini muffin pan and use a spoon to press down the center so it looks like a birds nest. Fill the birds nest with green icing so that it looks like grass and garnish with Cadbury Eggs.

Rice Krispie Birds Nest Recipe

Here’s What You Need:

1 ½ Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
2.5 Cups Miniature Marshmallows
3 Cups Toasted Rice Cereal
Miniature Cupcake Pan
Green Frosting or Food Coloring & White Icing
Cadbury Chocolate Eggs


Yields 24 Mini Rice Krispie Cupcakes. Double recipe for 48 Cupcakes.

DIRECTIONS:

Microwave butter in large microwaveable bowl on high for 45 seconds or until melted.

Stir marshmallows into the butter and microwave 45 seconds.

Stir marshmallow mixture with a spoon that has been sprayed with cooking spray and microwave for another 45 seconds or until marshmallows are melted.

Mix well.

Add Toasted Rice Cereal immediately and press into a mini cupcake pan with a spoon to make the “birds nest”.

Cool completely or place in the refrigerator.

Ice birds nests with green icing so that it looks like “grass”, and garnish with Cadbury chocolate eggs!
