How to make Easy Triple Chocolate Bundt Cake Recipe

An overhead view of baking ingredients on a marble surface, including cocoa powder, chocolate chips, eggs, flour, sugar, butter, milk, oil, vanilla, and measuring tools.

First, start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees and greasing your bundt pan with butter.

Then mix together your cake mix, chocolate instant pudding, eggs, water, and oil together in a large mixing bowl.

Next, add in your mini chocolate chips!

Now it’s time to pour the mixture into your greased bundt pan.

Bake the bundt cake for 40 minutes.

Depending on the size of bundt pan and oven, the cooking time will vary. Just check with placing a knife or toothpick into the center.

Once it’s finished baking, set the cake to side and let it cool for 20 minutes.

Once it has set for a while, flip the cake onto a cake stand or plate to serve.

While your cake is cooling on the stand or plate, start making your frosting.

In a large mixing bowl, you are going to add the butter, milk, and cocoa until fully mixed.

Then mix in the powdered sugar completely.

A metal whisk lifts smooth chocolate cake batter from a glass mixing bowl.

Next, you stir in the vanilla.

If you want a richer cake, make sure to add an extra 1/3 cup of cocoa powder to your frosting!

Now, you can pour your frosting over the cooled cake.

What is the secret to the best bundt cake?

Although this might not seem like an important step, greasing the bundt cake pan helps the cake come out of the pan smoothly and creates the perfect shape!

What makes a bundt cake different from other cakes?

One of the main differences between a bundt cake and other cakes is the pan it is baked in! This shape helps the cake bake evenly throughout the process which is helpful with denser batters.

What makes a bundt cake moist?

The addition of a couple different ingredients can enhance the moistness of bundt cake! Vegetable oil is a great addition if you are looking to moisten you bundt cakes.

Some people might add yogurt or even sour cream too!
