I was so nervous about making these for the first time because lemon bars just seem intimidating. They always look so good and beautiful, so how can they possibly be easy?
I was amazed at just how easy they were to whip up and pretty much fool-proof! Plus, all it takes is a few ingredients you probably have in your pantry plus some fresh lemons! If you don’t have fresh lemons you can always use lemon juice.
My favorite part about these amazing lemon bars was the crust! So soft, chewy, and flaky! It was also super easy and effortless to make!
When it comes to making the crust, be sure to follow the instructions. After baking it for 15 minutes you will want to cover it with foil before you put it back into the oven for another 15 minutes. This helps it to cook completely without getting too brown.
If you want to make your bars burst with even more flavor, add some extra freshly squeezed lemon juice. Just be sure to strain the seeds. 🙂
