Here are some commonly asked questions about cookies!

What makes a cookie chewy?

High moisture content is the main thing that makes cookies soft and chewy. Baking time and temperature can also be adjusted to help the cookies retain the moisture. You could add a little less flour to your dough or my favorite tip is to pull the cookies out of the oven a little early and let them finish baking on the tray. This way the cookies don’t get over-cooked in the oven.

How do I bake the perfect cookie?

I think the perfect cookies come from baking them at 350 degrees for around 9 or 10 minutes and pulling them out of the oven before they turn brown on the edges. You want the center a little soft so that the cookies can finish baking on the cookie sheet and not in the oven.

Can I freeze white chocolate chip cookies?

YES! I love holiday cookies because they are so easy to freeze! You can either freeze the balls of dough BEFORE you bake them so that you can still get them fresh from the oven, or you can freeze the cookies after they have been baked. Cookies make a great freezer-friendly dessert recipe!

How do you keep white chocolate chip cookies soft?

Keep your cookies soft by storing them in an airtight container or zippered bag. If you need to layer these cookies for a gift or if you are sending them in the mail, place a layer of plastic wrap between the two layers of cookies.

If you are planning on giving cookies away at a cookie exchange, at the office, or to your neighbors, wrap them up in some cute packaging and be sure to finish it off with a cute bow! Here are some Cheap Christmas Treat bags and Boxes
