How to make Hot Chocolate Dip Recipe with Marshmallow Fluff!

Whether you’ve got an upcoming holiday party or need a dessert idea for gathering with friends, this Hot Chocolate Dip Recipe is a real crowd pleaser! Super fun and so simple! Have it ready in 5 minutes!

First, add 8oz of cream cheese and 1/4 of softened butter to a bowl.

Next, beat the cream cheese and butter together. I used a hand mixer but you can also just use a fork to combine it. (Note: it make take a few extra minutes using a fork)

Next, mix in the marshmallow creme, hot chocolate mix, and confectioners sugar. 

Then stir in the vanilla until fully combined.

Add 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows and 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips to your dip. (Save a few marshmallows and chocolate chips for garnishing at the end!) Mix altogether until fully combined.

Finally, pour the dip into a serving bowl and top it off with the extra marshmallows and chocolate chips. Or sprinkle on some crushed peppermint or hot chocolate mix! Store in the refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve. ENJOY!

Hot Chocolate Dip Recipe with Marshmallow Fluff

Yields: 2 1/2 cups of Hot Chocolate Dip
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Baking time: None
Additional time: None

Ingredients:
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
7 oz marshmallow creme
1/3 cup hot chocolate mix
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup mini marshmallows + extra for garnishing
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips + extra for garnishing

Garnishing options:
Peppermint, hot chocolate mix, chocolate chips, marshmallows

Dipping options:
Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, Oreos, Golden Oreos, large marshmallows

Directions:
In a medium sized mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together with a hand mixer (you can use a fork but it may take a few minutes to combine).
Stir in marshmallow creme, hot chocolate mix, and confectioners sugar until smooth.
Add the vanilla and mix well.
Fold in marshmallows and chocolate chips.
Transfer dip into a serving bowl and garnish with extra marshmallows, chocolate chips, crushed peppermint, crushed candy cane, or hot chocolate mix.
Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes:
● I think this recipe does better when you make it and then serve it on the same day. Dip can be refrigerated for up to 3-5 days, but the marshmallows and marshmallow creme will get sticky.

What is a substitute for marshmallow cream?

Don’t have marshmallow cream on hand? Just heat 16 large marshmallows (or 160 miniature ones) with 2 teaspoons of corn syrup over a double boiler. Stir until the marshmallows have melted and are smooth! Homemade marshmallow cream!

Can you freeze Hot Chocolate Dip with Cream Cheese?

Yes! You can totally freeze cream cheese dips! Just remember that freezing cream cheese dip may change the texture a bit, so double check your dip before serving it. You can adjust it if needed or make it fresh since it only takes a few minutes!
