Melted butter and crushed graham cracker in a bowl

First, mix together the melted butter and crushed graham crackers. (Save one graham cracker for garnishing after baking.)

Graham cracker crust pressed in baking dish

Next, press the graham cracker and butter mixture into the bottom of a prepared 9×13 baking pan. Bake this at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

Chopped up peanut butter cups

Then, add a layer of Hershey’s chocolate bars and crushed Peanut Butter Cups on top of the graham cracker crust.

What can I substitute for graham crackers in s’mores recipes?

There are several things you can substitute for graham crackers in s’mores recipes. Basically you want a little salt with your sweet and a good texture that resembles graham crackers. Saltine Crackers, Ritz Crackers, Pretzels, and Potato chips could be used as a substitute or you could do half and half!

What does “s’mores” stand for?

The word “s’mores” come from the phrase “some more”! I mean, who can ever eat just one?!? A traditional s’more is made with a toasted marshmallow and pieces of chocolate sandwiched between 2 graham crackers! YUMMY!
