How to Make Guacamole Salsa

Guacamole is great because it is so easy to make! First you need to decide how spicy you want your guacamole. 

Chop all of your ingredients and place them into the food processor (jalapeno seeds are what make them spicy. Omit all seeds for a mild recipe, or add in some of the seeds for spice).

Processes Guacamole Salsa until smooth. Of course you could always mash your guacamole with a fork and leave some chunks – it’s really up to your personal preference. 

Transfer Guacamole Salsa to a bowl and serve! If you want to chill or save your Guacamole Salsa, save one or two of the avocado seeds to help prevent browning. 

Guacamole Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:
2 large avocados
1/2 jalapeno pepper
1/4 cup diced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1 lime, juice of
1/2 teaspoon salt 
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Start by preparing all of your ingredients. 
Add all of the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth. 
Add more salt/pepper to taste.
Transfer guacamole salsa to a bowl and enjoy! 

Notes:
*If you want the Guacamole Salsa to be mild, remove all of the jalapeno seeds before processing. If you want a spicy Guacamole Salsa, leave some, or all, of the jalapeno seeds. 
*If you are going to refrigerate, only make a couple of hours before serving and save your avocado seeds to put in the guacamole salsa while it’s in the fridge to prevent browning.

Absolutely!! Avocados are packed with so many good fats and the rest of the ingredients are spices or vegetables! Guacamole is the one thing I never feel bad eating a lot of! 😉

How do you keep avocado salsa from turning brown?

Citric acid in lemons and limes help to keep avocados from turning bad. Also, keeping the seed from the avocado in the guacamole salsa helps to prevent browning. I have also found using plastic wrap or an airtight container prevents browning. The more air tight the better.
