How to Make Christmas Cookie Dog Treats

First, you need to start by grinding up the oats in a food processor or blender. Once the oats are ground up, you can add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl! Mix well and then press the dough out so you can use a cookie cutter to create shapes.

Keep in mind that you don’t want to roll your dough out too think or it will take the cookies a long time to bake. Keep your dough about 1/4″ thick.

How Long Do Homemade Dog Treats Last?

Dog treats can last for up to 2 months in the refrigerator, and up to 8 months if they are frozen in an air tight container.

I know with my dog, Christmas Treats don’t last long! You can always cut your recipe in half or bake them in smaller cookie sizes.

Can I Make These Oat Cookie Dog Treats Anytime?

Absolutely! You can make these cookies all year long – just change up your cookie cutter or make circles for biscuits!

Can Dogs Have Peanut Butter?

Dogs can have Peanut Butter as long as it does not contain xylitol or chocolate. Xylitol is found in healthier peanut butter, so stay clear from these and regular peanut butter.
