DIY All Natural Essential Oil Night Cream Recipe!

I have been struggling with keeping my skin clear since college, so this DIY All Natural Essential Oil Night Cream Recipe is perfect for me! I have tried ALL kinds of beauty products from simple and cheap, to fancy and super expensive. Nothing ever seemed to work for me and my skin never seemed to clear up. Finally, I gave up and decided to start using essential oils.

When I first started using essential oils, it was more for diffusing in the air or to help with my sinus infections/allergies. But now that I have seen the results as beauty products, I am hooked! I love that I can put All Natural Oils on my skin and see results. I love that there are no added chemicals or harmful ingredients. I made this All Natural Night Cream to help with blemishes and to help clear up my skin (I struggle with lots of breakouts). DIY All Natural Essential Oil Night Cream

Here’s What You Need:
5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
5 Drops Frankincense Essential Oil
5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
1 1/2 Tablespoon Organic Coconut Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Olive Oil
Small Glass Container or Gift Jar

Directions:
Combine Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, and Essential Oils in a small bowl.

Put the cream into a small container or gift jar.

*Keep in mind that your Night Cream will harden the longer it sits. This gives it more of the texture of Night Cream or Facial Cream!

You mentioned having used the oils for sinus infections and allergies, I was wondering what you did with then because I’m having those issues myself.

  I got the Premium Starter Kit when I started with Young Living and I diffuse Thieves and Lemon with the Home Diffuser. I also like to put Peppermint on my chest and Thieves on my feet when I have a full sinus infection! You can even make your own Capsules with these essential oils which is another great option for kicking sinus infections. I have found that Oregano, Thieves, Lemon, and Frankincense work the best for me=)!

  Hey Erica! I normally put it on before I go to bed after I wash my face. I just leave it on all night! I recently had a bad sunburn that peeled and I also used this cream on my back and it worked very well! Frankincense, Lavender, and lemon are all great for your skin – Let me know if you try it!

  Yes! Thank you for the question!! The Lemon is for detox and acne, the lavender is for skin and rashes, it is really good for the skin, and frankincense is also for skin care and inflammation. These all work together (or you can use them separately) and give great results for clearing up skin or acne. You can also use purification on your face to help take away the toxins. It is good to use a “carrier oil” with these like coconut oil or olive oil=)

I was wondering about using a plastic container as well.
I emptied out three small face cream containers to use but they are plastic. Is this ok since it has lemon oil?

  I would recommend using a Glass Jar like this! The more I’ve learned about Essential Oils is that the oils can eat through the plastic – especially the citrus oils. I’m still learning SO much about essential oils and how to use them the best ways :)!

I made the night cream and I really like it. However, it went all liquid after a few hours in my bathroom, which is the warmest room in my house! I put it in the fridge and of course it turned solid – too solid to use. I was hoping it would solidify but still be manageable. I was wondering if you have encountered any similar issues. Did I whip it too much? Is it just too warm in my bathroom? I have made body butter with coconut oil and it stays a beautiful solid – but I don’t keep it in my bathroom..

Hey Julie , I recently got my starter kit with Young living and loving diffusing it . I do as well struggle with blemishes and break outs and very interested in findin a blend of oils that cure this issue for me. For the past week I have been using frankencense and melaleuca alternofia with my jojoba oil as a carrier as my facial cleanser .. So I am putting on then washing off and as they feel great on my face after i wash off my face is rather dry feeling and a little flakey so I was thinking of trying this night cream you have posted but was wonderin how much of it you use and do you use it everynight??

  Sounds like you are doing a great job using the oils already! I have heard that Melrose is also a great oil for skin! Lemon Neat and Lavender Neat is also good to try! I like this night cream, and I just use it like a moisturizer at night, no specific amount (I’m an easy oiler) so I just get some on my fingers and put it on my face!

does it have to be Organic Coc Oil or will 100% pure Coc Oil work? Is there a difference in the texture of the two or just that one is Organic?

  I’m sure that would be a great substitution! There is a body butter recipe that I make that has Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Shea Butter, and Beeswax! It’s my favorite!!
