How to make Easy Christmas Cake Mix Cookies with M&Ms!
First, start by lining 2 Baking Sheets with Parchment Paper. Also preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Next, add the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs to a Mixing Bowl and mix altogether.
Now, you’ll need to add and mix in the Holiday M&Ms, White Chocolate Chips, and Holiday Sprinkles!
Using a Cookie Scoop (I used a 2 tablespoon scoop) create the cookie dough balls. (You’re going to use 2 cookie dough balls for 1 cookie.)
After rolling the cookie dough into a ball, flatten it a little bit (to about 1/2 an inch) and place them on the Baking Sheets. (About 5 per sheet.)
Time to bake! Bake the cookies for 9-10 minutes until the edges have just begun to brown.
Remove them from the oven top half the cookies with the remaining M&Ms, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
While the cookies are cooling, melt the rest of the white chocolate chips in the microwave. Dip the other have of the cookies in the melted chocolate and sprinkle with M&Ms and sprinkles.
Finally, let the cookies cool completely on a Cooling Rack. If you have any more melted chocolate, you can drizzle it over the cookies. Serve and ENJOY!
Easy Christmas Cake Mix Cookies with M&Ms
Yields: 10 Cookies (4 tablespoons or about ¼ cup each)
Preparation time: 8 minutes
Baking time: 10 Minutes
Additional time: 30 minutes
Cookie Ingredients:
1 package of white cake mix (betty crocker super moist white cake mix 16.25 ounce box)
2 whole large eggs
⅓ cup melted unsalted butter
2 cups white chocolate chips, divided
1 cup holiday M&Ms, divided
½ cup sprinkles, divided
Cookie Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the cake mix, eggs, and melted butter with a fork.
Stir 3/4 cup of Holiday M&Ms, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, and ¼ cup of sprinkles into the batter and mix well.
Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop and create two cookie dough balls per cookie (about ¼ cup of cookie dough).
Roll the cookie dough into a ball and then flatten the ball to about ½ inch thick and arrange 5 cookies on each baking sheet so they have room to spread (option: refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes so it’s easier to roll into balls and less sticky).
Bake for 9-10 minutes or just until the edges start to brown – do not over bake.
Remove from the oven and top half of the cookies with M&Ms, white chocolate chips, and Sprinkles.
Let the cookies cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.
Once all of the cookies have been baked and are cooled, melt the remaining white chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments – stirring between.
Dip the other half of the cookies in the white chocolate and garnish with M&Ms and sprinkles. Let cool completely.
If any white chocolate is remaining, drizzle over the top of the white chocolate half and top with extra sprinkles (optional).
Notes:
● Cookies can be stored at room temperature for up to one week in an airtight container.
● If you decide to make smaller cookies, the dough will yield more cookies and you may need to adjust the baking time.
● Be sure to shape and press the cookie dough down BEFORE baking so the cookies bake evenly.
