How to Make Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danishes

Mini Cream Cheese Danish Dough

I love these so much because of the simple recipe. All you need is a can (or two) of crescent rolls. Roll out the dough and spread a layer of butter and brown sugar on top of the dough.

How to Make Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danishes

Cut the crescent rolls into thin slices, press the dough out, fill the dough with cream cheese and fruit spread, and bake! Top with a lemon glaze (optional) and enjoy! Sure you could go through the trouble of making a crust from scratch, but if you only have a few minutes to whip something up, using crescent rolls is a HUGE time saver (plus, no mess)! 😉

Plus, if you put the cream cheese mixture into a ziplock bag and then cut a tip off the end, it’s super easy to pipe into the center of the danish!

How to Store Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danishes

My favorite way to eat these is straight from the oven, so your best to only make as many as you need. The crescent roll is flaky right out of the oven and then tends to harden after it’s been put in the fridge. If you do have leftovers and want to store them, place them in an airtight container and in the refrigerator. Since this recipes contains cream cheese, you will want to store them in the fridge!

Can You Freeze Cream Cheese Danishes?

Freezing these Cream Cheese Danishes isn’t something I’ve tried yet, but it’s worth a shot! You could freeze them in an airtight container and freeze them for a month or two. Once you are ready to eat them, thaw them in the fridge over night and then warm them up in the oven.
