What you need to make Grinch Christmas Fudge

- Almond bark for drizzling over the fudge
- Green Oils Based Food Coloring (it must be oil based for the almond bark)
- Heart Sprinkles (these are the ones I used)
How to make Grinch Christmas Fudge
Grab a double boiler or make a double boiler at home by following the steps I posted below and prepare an 8×8″ square pan with parchment paper.
In the top pan of the double boiler or in your heatproof bowl, combine the white baking chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt together.
Melt over medium heat until almost fully melted. Remove from heat and continue stirring until everything is completely melted.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Add 4-5 drops of green gel food coloring to the mixture and stir. If you want a darker green, add another drop of food coloring.
Once desired color is achieved, pour fudge into the prepared pan and let it cool at room temperature for 4-6 hours.
Once cooled, cut fudge into 16 pieces.
Heat almond bark int he microwave in a heat safe bowl in 20 second increments until almost melted (do not overheat). Stir almond bark to finish melting the rest of the almond bark using the residual heat.
Add 4-5 drops of green gel food coloring to the almond bark. I used the same drops for my almond bark as I did my fudge.
Transfer almond bark into a zippered bag and cut the tip off. Drizzle almond bark over the fudge and add a heart sprinkle to each piece of fudge.
Let cool completely and serve, store, or package for friends!
Grinch Christmas Fudge Recipe
Yields: 16 Pieces of Fudge
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: none
Additional time: 4-6 hours + 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
3 cups white baking chips
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Green oil based food coloring
6-8 ounces of white almond bark
16 Heart Sprinkles
Directions:
In a double boiler, combine white baking chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt together.
Melt on medium heat until almost fully melted.
Remove from heat and continue stirring until everything is completely smooth.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Add 4-5 drops of green food coloring (be sure to use oil based food coloring) and mix thoroughly. Add another drop if you want a darker green.
Line a 8”x 8” square pan with parchment paper.
Pour fudge into the prepared pan and let cool for 4-6 hours at room temperature.
Pull the parchment paper gently to remove the fudge from the pan. Cut into 16 pieces.
Heat almond bark in 20 second increments until completely melted (stirring between).
Add 4 drops of food dye to the almond bark and mix well (do not over stir). If the color needs to be a little darker, add one more drop – but do not add too many. (Colors may look a little different but should be the same once they are cooled).
Transfer almond bark into a zippered bag and cut a small tip off one corner.
Drizzle fudge with almond bark and immediately place a heart sprinkle on top.
Let cool completely and serve or package for a cute Christmas gift for friends and neighbors.
Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.
Notes:
I used the same amount of food coloring in the fudge as I did the almond bark drizzle. Once the fudge cooled completely the colors looked the same.

What do you serve at a Grinch Party?
Grinch parties are a fun holiday theme for Christmas! Here are some of our favorite things to serve at a Grinch Party!
- Grinch Sugar Cookies
- No Bake Grinch Cookies
- Grinch Punch
- Grinch Oreo Balls
- Chocolate Covered Cherries
- Grinch Krispie Treats
What is a double boiler
A double boiler is two pans that fit together where you can put water in the bottom pan and your ingredients in the top pan. The pans use steam as a heat source to melt food (chocolate in this case).
To create a double boiler at home, use a heatproof mixing bowl on top of a pot of simmering water.
All you need is a couple of inches of water in the pot to make the heat rise to the heatproof bowl to melt and mix everything.
Just make sure that there is space between the mixing bowl and the pot of water. You don’t want the bowl to touch the water.
What kind of food coloring do I need for Grinch Fudge?
For this recipe you will need Gel Based Food Coloring – I used this Wilton Food Coloring for the fudge and the almond bark drizzle.
If you don’t use gel food coloring, the almond bark will be hard and not smooth. You have to have gel food coloring to mix with almond bark.
Something you can try if you don’t have gel food coloring, just make the fudge and leave off the drizzle! Water based food coloring works for coloring the fudge.
