How to make this Oreo Dirt Pudding Cookie Recipe

Dig into these Oreo Dirt Pudding Cookies! They’re are sure to be a family favorite – you’ll be making them again and again!

First, cream together the butter and sugars. Then add the egg and vanilla.

Next, add in the instant chocolate pudding. (This gives it such a great chocolate flavor!)

Now add in the other dry ingredients – flour, baking soda, and salt.

Time to add in the chocolate chips! Mix together until combined.

Now use a cookie scoop to make cookie dough balls and space them out on a baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes, then let them cool.

While the cookies are cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, water, and vanilla to make the chocolate glaze.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 10 minutes
Additional time: 20 minutes

Cookie Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) – softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 (3.9 oz package) instant chocolate pudding
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups unbleached flour
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chocolate Glaze & Toppings:
3 cups powdered sugar
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup water
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
Crushed Oreos (about 1 1/2 cup or 13 cookies)
Gummy Worms (about 30)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, using a fork, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
Add in eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Next, add the instant chocolate pudding, baking soda, and salt.
Slowly mix in flour until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Use a cookie scoop to create cookie dough balls about 2 tablespoons each and place them about 2” apart on the cookie sheet.
Bake cookies for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 8 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Make the chocolate glaze while the cookies cool by combining the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and water. Mix well until smooth.
Spoon glaze over cookies and let cool completely.
Use a cookie cutter or carefully spoon crushed Oreos over glaze and top with a gummy worm.
