No Bake Oreo Fudge

No Bake Oreo Fudge made with a double boiler! Don’t let a double boiler scare you!

Just grab a medium pot and heat-safe bowl. Add water to the pot and place the bowl over the pot, making sure the bowl completely covers the edge of the pot. Heat the water over medium heat and the heat will cause the fudge batter to melt.

Oreo Fudge Recipe

Yields: 16 pieces of fudge
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: None
Additional time: 4-6 hours

Ingredients:

3 cups of white baking chips
1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 14 ounces
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
20 double stuffed Oreos, crushed (divided)

Directions:

Line a 8×8” or 9×9” square baking dish with parchment paper and fill the bottom of a double boiler with water.
Take 5 of the Oreos and remove the center so that the cookies and icing are separate. Add the filling to the other 15 cookies and crush them in a food processor or a zippered bag and set aside for the fudge. Crush the other cookies (Without the icing) in a separate zippered bag and set aside for the topping.
In the top of the double boiler, combing the white baking chip, sweetened condensed milk, unsalted butter, and salt together.
Place the top of the double boiler on the bottom half and turn the stove to medium heat.
Heat over medium heat until everything is melted and smooth.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
Add the 15 crushed Oreos and extra frosting to the fudge. Gently fold in 1 or 2 times.
Pour the fudge into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and then garnish with the crushed cookies (without the frosting).

Notes:

You can keep whole crushed Oreos for the topping if you prefer, but I like the way the topping is without the icing from the middle.
Fudge will store at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Fudge can also be frozen for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
Fudge yields about 16 pieces of fudge, but you could also make smaller pieces to yield more.
