How to make this Strawberry Fudge Recipe with Sweetened Condensed Milk
First, prepare a double boiler and fill the bottom with 2″ of water. (You can use a double boiler or you can make your own out of a pot and a heat-safe bowl.)
Also, line an 8×8″ square baking dish with parchment paper.
Add the white baking ships and sweetened condensed milk to the top of the double boiler. Heat over medium heat to melt.
Next, add in the white almond bark, butter, and salt. Stir all together as the ingredients begin to melt. Continue to melt until smooth.
Once everything is mixed and smooth, remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
Pour the fudge mixture into the baking dish.
Now pour the strawberry ice cream topping on top of the fudge. Use a knife to swirl the strawberry topping into the fudge.
(Make sure to mix it well, but don’t mix too deep into the fudge. This will create a layer of white chocolate fudge on the bottom.)
Allow the fudge to set. (This will take about 4-6 hours at room temperature OR about 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.)
Once set, remove the fudge from the baking dish and slice into squares.
Finally, melt the last 4 ounces of white almond bark and pour into a zipper bag. Cut the tip off and drizzle the almond bark over each fudge square.
Once the almond bark as cooled, serve and enjoy!
Strawberry Fudge Recipe with Sweetened Condensed Milk
Yields: 16 pieces of fudge
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Baking time: none
Additional time: 4-6 hours
Ingredients:
3 cups of white baking chips
1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 14 ounces
8 ounces of white almond bark, divided
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup Strawberry Ice Cream Topping
Directions:
Line a 8×8” square baking dish with parchment paper and prepare a double boiler (I like to use a double boiler, but you can also make your own double boiler out of a pot and a heat-safe bowl). Fill the bottom of the double boiler with about 2” of water.
Place the top portion of the double boiler on top of the bottom and add the white baking chips, sweetened condensed milk, 4 ounces of white almond bark, butter, and salt.
Heat over medium heat until completely melted – stirring regularly. Once the mixture is almost melted, stir continuously until it is smooth.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Pour the strawberry ice cream topping on top and use a knife to swirl the topping into the fudge. *You will want to mix it pretty well, but be sure not to swirl too deep (you want a nice layer of white chocolate fudge on the bottom of the pan.)
Let the fudge cool completely – about 4-6 hours at room temperature or 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.
Once completely set, Remove the parchment paper from the baking dish and cut the fudge into 16 pieces.
In a small microwave safe bowl, heat the remaining 4 ounces of white almond bark in 20 second increments until smooth – stirring between each segment.
Transfer the white almond bark to a zippered bag and cut the tip off.
Drizzle over the fudge pieces and let cool completely.
Notes:
● You will want to swirl the strawberry ice cream topping into the fudge after it has been poured into the baking dish. If you mix it in before, the fudge will have a hard time setting at the bottom and be sticky.
● I love how this fudge has a nice white chocolate bottom layer so it holds its shape well.
● The fudge is smooth and creamy and tastes just like strawberry ice cream! You can add the drizzle on top, or omit this step. Either way, the fudge is amazing!
● Fudge can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
