What you need for Easy Strawberry Sauce

  • Strawberries, I used fresh, but you can also use frozen
  • Water, sugar, vanilla
  • Sauce Pan, potato masher, and whisk. 

How to make Homemade Strawberry Sauce

Start by combining water and sugar in a small sauce pan over medium heat to create a simple syrup.

Once the sugar is completely dissolved, add the strawberries and simmer on low for 10 minutes. 

While this is cooking, stir and mash the strawberries together. 

Remove the strawberries from heat after 10 minutes and add the vanilla. 

Let cool completely and add to any dessert like ice cream, angel food cake, cheesecake, brownies, or cookies!

Homemade Strawberry Sauce

Strawberry Sauce Ingredients:
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
1/2 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Strawberry Sauce Directions:
In a small saucepan, whisk the water and sugar over medium heat until dissolved completely.
Add strawberries and simmer on low for 10 minutes. Mash and whisk strawberries occasionally while they simmer.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Let cool completely before topping desserts.
